About

Is there a decision that you’re still thinking about?

The Archive of Decisions gathers together records of the decisions that live on in our minds.

It is a collection of moments, memories, reflections, encounters. An experiment in what we can learn from each other about how to make decisions, and how to live with the decisions that we make.

Are there such things as good and bad choices? Is it still a decision if it’s taken out of our hands, or a question of survival? What happens to the would and could have beens?

The records here are not a guide for what to do or choose, but a reminder that there are so many different ways to live a life.

The Archive of Decisions is a project by Frances Richens. Initiated in Mérida, México, it is part of practice-based research for an MA in Intercultural Practices at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

Entries in the archive are anonymous. Audio interviews have been edited for clarity; background noise may be audible.

Thank you to all those who have generously shared their lives, stories and thoughts, and to Mérida English Library for their support.
